Hispanic Heritage Month is a nationally recognized observance that celebrates the achievements and influence of Hispanic Americans. The celebration begins each year on Sept. 15, a date that coincides with the independence anniversaries of several Latin American countries, including Costa Rica, El Salvador, Guatemala, Honduras and Nicaragua.

The »¨¼¾ÊÓƵ Hispanic Heritage Committee encourages students, faculty, staff and community members to participate in events throughout the month to foster inclusion and appreciation for the diverse Hispanic cultures represented on campus and across the country.
